GOOD THINGS FROM THE STAGE, an intimate performance by singer/songwriter Jessica Rhaye, filmed and recorded on a closed stage at the Riverview Arts Centre.



“Good Things from the Stage” was initially going to be a video EPK, capturing live footage of me and the band so we could use it as a promotional tool to book more live performances.

I had performed at the Riverview Arts Centre the month prior to this shoot and it was a very exciting performance with great sound and energy.  My manager suggested we use the same venue to capture the performance on video, on a closed stage, a perfect venue for our EPK footage. 

 We discussed the possibility with our good friends and up start production company Hemmings House Pictures and they were on board and very excited about making it happen. 

We rented the Riverview Arts Centre and began putting all of the pieces of the puzzle together to make it all happen.  Duane Kelly brought along his portable studio to record, capture and later mix and master the off the floor audio from the performance.  Each song was performed a couple of times and both the audio and video was captured by the HHP crew.

After reviewing the initial footage with Hemmings House Pictures, and listening to the final audio mix of the recording, we all thought it would be a great idea to put together a full length DVD from this footage.  The HHP boys and I sat down and shot some additional interview footage, combined with some pictures, studio footage from the making of the album “Good Things” and some of my tour footage from England.  The end result is “Good Things from the Stage”.

Thanks to anyone who has taken the time to watch and listen with a special thanks to Hemmings House Pictures, for putting a lot of extra time and energy into the project.  I hope anyone taking the time to watch it enjoys it as much as we enjoyed making it come to life.
